Hamburg

Me and my boyfriend visit Hamburg for some sightseeing. On our first day in Hamburg we started with a guided bus tour trough Hamburg were you can hop on and off who ever you want. This was a great opportunity because you can visit what you want as long you want and then go further. Our second day was a sunday so we get up very early to go to the fish market. It was quit hard to get up at 4:00 a.m. But it was great, especially the old market hall. Inside these hall tradition music was played and there was a good atmosphere.

On the next day we make a harbour tour and went for some shopping. In the evening we want to see something of the night life of Hamburg. We decided to go through the Reeperbahn. This is the best known part of the red light district. On our last day we went trough the miniature wunderland. It is a museum of a model railway land which was very interesting but we waited a long time for our tickets. Later on we found out that we could have mad a reservation and so needn’t to wait. I would recommend this opportunity to everybody.

Hello Lisa. You know I register just two days ago on this blogg because me and my girl friend are planning a trip. But we have not decided yet whether to go to Hamburg or Berlin. Have you been on both cities? Which one you liked the most? See my friends have told me that Berlin is very beautiful and not expensive. I’ve always wanted to see the Berlin Wall, but Hamburg seems pretty good.
Please help us on our decision …thanks in advance!

    Hello mes984,

I know both cities, as I was in Hamburg tree times and one time in Berlin. Both cities are very interesting. Hamburg is a maritime city because of its geographic position on the North Sea. Hamburg is trading coined because of the big harbour. Hamburg is very famous for their coffee roasting facilities.
Berlin has a big historical importance as Berlin was spitted trough a big wall. In Berlin are many things to visit depending on the German German history.
So I would say you should decide which of these sounds more interesting for you and visit this city.
If you have any further question please feel free contact me.

    Cheers,
    Lisa

    Hi Aurelie,

If you only have two days I would say you should take one day on the sightseeing buses to visit nice places and the other day to make a harbour tour by ship and visit the miniature wonderland.

    Cheers,
    Lisa

    Hi Aurelie,

We have decided where to eat spontaneously but on you trip with the bus I would try to eat at the Jungfernstieg and look over the Alster but these restaurants there are full the whole day.

    Hi Lisa,

Is the Reeperbahn the red-light district? Is it not dangerous to go their in the night?

    Cheers,
